A 2025 National Association of REALTORS® report reveals that global demand for U.S. luxury real estate continues to strengthen, with foreign buyers accounting for 18% of all $1 million-plus transactions nationwide between April 2024 and March 2025.

Leading the list of international buyers are China (35%), the U.K. (23%), Canada (23%), Mexico (13%), and India (3%).

This trend underscores how international capital continues to shape the U.S. housing market — particularly in Florida, which attracts more than one in five foreign real estate purchases nationwide.

According to the same NAR report, Florida captured 21% of all foreign real estate transactions in the U.S., maintaining its long-standing position as the number-one state for international buyers.

Within Florida, South Florida dominates, accounting for nearly half (49%) of all international home purchases statewide. Of that total, Miami-Dade County represents about 65%, according to the Miami Association of REALTORS®.
